Staff Nurse at Drydocks World- Dubai


Clinical

 Ensure delivery of nursing care is in line with departmental procedures and policies.
 Maintain a high standard of up to date nursing care and clinical credibility, utilizing current clinical research.
 Participate in health surveillance activities and programs for groups who have been identified at risk when required
 Participate in fitness to work assessments according to departmental procedures.
 Provide advice and counseling to employees referring to appropriate personnel when required.
 Ensure an effective, secure and confidential system of documentation in accordance with local regulations
 Maintain effective communication with managers, clients and outside professionals ensuring a seamless efficient service delivery.
 Demonstrate cultural awareness within the work place and ensure an equal access to the service is provided for all users no matter position, race or culture.
 Through exemplary practice act as a role model for nursing care within Drydocks World - Dubai.
Administrative
 Participate in the development of policies and procedures appropriate to the needs of the department.
 Assist in the implementation of departmental management programs and participate in audit and quality programs as required.
 Participate in health and safety meetings as required.
 Ensure a cost effective service is maintained through the monitoring of consumable stock within the clinic
 Visit departments and sites to develop and maintain sound knowledge of the occupational environment and establish contact with employees in the workplace when required.
 Maintain confidentiality at all times.
 To carry out any duties that may be required to ensure the efficient running of the medical service.

Desired Candidate Profile

 Diploma in General Nursing (3 years course) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (4 years degree)
 Minimum of Twelve (12) years formal school education - Pre - University OR Higher Secondary
 Minimum of 3 years working in a major Industrial Company or Shipyard as male nurse OR equivalent experience in an
 Accident / Emergency department of a large hospital.
 Good knowledge of written and spoken English.
 Department of Health Nursing License.
